Processing & Production Time
Orders usually take 5-10 business days to process and produce. Please keep in mind that we are a small business and create everything by hand, just for you!
What is Gold-Fill?
Gold-Fill is a great alternative to solid gold jewelry. It is a pressure bonded layer of gold that has 100% more gold than plated and does not tarnish as easily. These characteristics make it a beautiful, durable, and economical alternative to solid gold, that will last years if cared for properly.
How do I figure out my ring size?
We offer a ring sizer for purchase or amazon has good options to try on at home. Another option would be going into your local jeweler to have them size you. Because all our pieces are made to order, if you order the wrong size we can exchange it but customer is responsible for additional shipping charges and possible restocking fees.
02. Care & Studio Space
How do I care for my Jewelry?
Store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight area. Clean with mildly sudsy water, rinse well and pat dry with a non-scratching cloth. Polish gently with a jewelry polishing cloth. Take extra care around perspiration, saltwater, chlorine, perfume and lotions, as they can tarnish jewelry faster. If you come in contact with any of these please rinse with fresh water as soon as possible and pat dry.
Some of our jewelry is soldered, which can expose the base metal core of 14k Gold Fill and make it come to the surface. This will cause a small dark spot to appear at the point of soldering. Not to worry it can easily be removed with a polishing cloth.
Can I visit your studio?
Salted Stones Studio is by appointment only. Although we love all our customers this is not a retail location and is reserved for fine jewelry custom clients and permanent jewelry appointments only. If you would like to schedule an appointment please email [email protected].
03. Salty Sparks
What is Permanent Jewelry?
Salty Sparks is a welded jewelry experience offering a curated selection of solid 14K gold chains. Our chains can be crafted into beautiful bracelets, necklaces, or anklets.
Please keep in mind that permanent does not mean it’s invincible. While it is designed and will withstand every day wear, it is still fine jewelry. Please be mindful of any strenuous activities or snagging.
How do I remove permanent jewelry when I want?
If for any reason you would like to take off your permanent jewelry, use scissors or wire cutters at the jump ring/weld site. If you save your chain we offer 1 free reattachment. Note removal must be at the weld site, not anywhere on the chain or we will have to charge for replacement materials.
04. Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my jewlery?
We are confident you will be happy with your purchase from Salted Stones, but if for any reason you are not satisfied, please email [email protected]. Please contact us within 7 days of deliver and we will review your return. If accepted, customers are responsible for return shipping.
What if I ordered the wrong size?
